PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Galerie du Gouverneur is size increasing of the head office of the Societe des Alcools du Quebec (SAQ) which aimed to integrate new public activities, independent of the actual administrative activities. The project groups together two different departments which live and share common infrastructure: on one hand, a new guarding cellar, highlighted and exposed to visitors while respecting optimal standards of preservation; on the other hand, in the basement of the ancient prison of Pied-du-courant, a space of remembrance of the rebellions of 1837-38.
